Women's Camp History:

Women’s camp was founded as a retreat for Maine Girl Scout leaders over 20 years ago. As the program evolved, a decision was made to open this experience to any adult woman, 18 years and older. A Board of Directors was formed in 1998 and at that point, Women’s Camp came into its own. Today, women from all over New England and beyond (including those who have never been Girl Scouts) attend.

Members of the Board, women of many walks of life from the New England area, organize the encampments and share responsibilities for activities.

Women’s Camp is financially independent of any other organization and makes an annual capital donation to the Girl Scouts of Maine.

Since Girl Scout insurance covers Women's Camp, all participants must enroll as adult Scouts during one of the three sessions. G.S. registration includes the period September 30th through October 1st of every calendar year.

About Us

Camperships:

The Eunice Anderson Campership Fund was put in place to provide funding to any woman in need of financial assistance to attend camp. Live and ‘silent’ auctions are held at each encampment to benefit this fund.

If you would like more information about the campership fund or would like to apply for assistance click here. Please print and fill out the application and mail to the address at the bottom of the form. Please remember that all inquiries and applications are confidential.
