Spring Fling 2010
WEEKEND GETAWAY!!!
May 7 - 9, 2010, Wells State
Park, Sturbridge, Ma
All campers are welcome to come for lunch
on Saturday May 8th If camping the entire
weekend is not desirable. Bring your lunch,
a friend and perhaps a goody to share.
Registration for the day is not required.
There is a day-use fee for the park.

| This is our first Spring
Fling weekend encampment and gals are
we excited!! We'll be staying at beautiful
Wells State Park in Sturbridge, Ma. Wells
State Park is a popular 1,400-acre woodland
park offering hiking, fishing, canoeing
and swimming. Area activities include
Old Sturbridge Village. For more information

If staying in one of the yurts, lodging
is free of charge but campers will need
to bring their own food. Campfire grills
are available at each campsite. We have
rented two yurts, which will accomodate
a total of 10 campers. The yurts are dome-shaped
buildings with electricity. Bath houses
are nearby offering hot showers and toilet
facilities. Campers also have the option
of reserving their own campsite within
the park, at their own expense. Bring
a tent and appropriate equipment and clothing.

Summer Week 2010! NEW LOCATION!!
Camp Scelkit, Gerrish Island,
Kittery, ME
Dates August 18-24, 2010. $40.00 / night*
(minimum of three nights, please) 
Wednesday, check-in starting at 10:00
am.
This summer both first time and returning
campers have a new adventure in store
for them at Camp Scelkit. Located on five
acres of coastal waters on Gerrish Island
in Kittery, the camp has two tidal pools,
a lodge which sleeps 20 and three platform
tents which sleep 4 each, a pavillion
and a small kitchen house. Campers may
bring individual tents. Swimming is at
a sandy beach nearby or at town pool at
a cost of $2.00.
Summer program activities include:
Swimming, arts and crafts, basket
making, tie dyeing, canoeing, reading,
hiking, biking, singing, relaxing, camp
fires, shopping, card and table games,
and whatever you want to do! You can bring
your own canoe or kayak too! Featured
crafts this summer are leather tooling,
quilling and basket weaving. Some campers
bring crafty ideas to share as well.
Parking at camp is limited however, we
will provide shuttle service from Kittery
Trading Post, which is about 3 miles away.
We will be using the Girl Scout "dunk
bag" method for dishes. Please bring
your own mess kit or equivalent. Quiet
time begins at 8:30 PM.
Tuesday: breakfast, cleanup, and morning
checkout by 11:00 am

Fall Getaway Weekend 2010!

10/9 Friday, Check-in starting at 4:00
pm. Pot-luck supper at 7:00.
If you arrive by 7:00 pm, please bring
a pot-luck dish to share for Friday night's
supper.
10/12 Monday, checkout at 12:00 noon.

Fall activities include:
Arts and crafts, singing, hiking, sight-seeing,
games, shopping or just plain relax! Do
as much or as little as you like.
